We go north of the border for the fourth release on the N scale Bristol Lodekka, which is liveried in one of the most famous names in Scottish bus company history. Walter Alexander began running buses in the Falkirk area in 1914 and W Alexander & Sons was formed 10 years later.
Our finely detailed little model in red with cream masking is registered GWG 982 and is heading as the Number 312 to Dunfermline. Separate advertising panels feature Haig Whisky on the offside, a Dulux paint advert on the nearside and Askit ‘for headaches and nerve pains’ in the upper deck panel on the back. The company name and logo also feature in gold and black on the lower sides and rear of the double decker. The detailing extends to the chrome Bristol badge on the radiator, whilst the wheels echo the cream masking of the body, with fine red surrounds.
