To celebrate the historic return to the top endurance class starting from the 2023 season, during the 2023 Ferrari World Finals at the Mugello International Circuit Ferrari presented the 499P Modificata, a strictly limited series car for non-competitive use on the track . The 499P Modified is a product developed from a competition car, and not from a production model, which is not subject to the limits imposed by a technical regulation. Although the 499P Modified is based on the 499P, not having to comply with the sporting and technical parameters of the FIA WEC allowed the Ferrari engineering team to introduce a series of significant changes that emphasize the thrills of driving and make the car’s performance more manageable.
